There is a glorious earthiness to the palette of Liz Salter’s work. Whilst often depicting rugged, sometimes impenetrable, terrain, Salter’s work feels warm with the natural pigments that she selects. Imbued with bursts of light, Salter’s work appears optimistic, breathing a sense of reflective, perhaps spiritual, perspective, that emanates an appreciation and respect of the landscapes and one’s position in relation to them.
